Kelly Services is hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom Specialist for an onsite opportunity in Florence, South Carolina.

  • Overtime: May be required based on business needs

Job Description

As a Mailroom Specialist, you will process incoming and outgoing mail in both paper and electronic formats while meeting client service-level requirements. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working with computer systems, and able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced mailroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open, prepare, sort, and scan incoming mail.

  • Prepare incoming electronic mail using E-Prep and FTP processes.

  • Process outgoing mail using postal equipment, including:

    • Mail inserters

    • Postage meters

    • Computer systems


  • Prepare and handle outgoing overnight packages as needed.

  • Accurately enter and update information in computer systems.

  • Follow established procedures, quality standards, and service-level requirements.

  • Maintain an organized and efficient work area.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Work overtime when required.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.

  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to make sound decisions independently.

  • Ability to learn and follow multiple policies and procedures.

  • Flexibility to handle different assignments and changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous mailroom, shipping, receiving, warehouse, or clerical experience.

  • Experience using postage meters, mail inserters, scanners, or similar equipment.

  • Experience processing paper and electronic correspondence.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, flexible, and comfortable performing repetitive tasks with accuracy. You should be able to work independently while also contributing to a team-focused environment.
