- Create, deliver, and track EHS training for employees and contractors, including new-hire orientation, refresher courses, hazardous materials, lockout/tagout, emergency response, and other required topics.
- Manage environmental compliance activities related to hazardous waste, chemical storage, air emissions, water discharges, permits, and sustainability programs.
- Maintain and improve emergency preparedness plans covering fire protection, evacuation, spills, first aid, and other potential events; coordinate drills as needed.
- Maintain accurate EHS records, including incident logs, inspection results, training documentation, regulatory submissions, permits, and corrective-action records.
- Evaluate workplace hazards and establish appropriate personal protective equipment requirements; support PPE selection, availability, and compliance.
- Review contractor and supplier safety plans, conduct pre-work discussions, and monitor on-site activities for adherence to EHS requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to incorporate safety and environmental considerations into projects, equipment changes, and daily operations.
- Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and improve the facility’s overall safety performance.
