Field Installation Technician – Direct Hire
Location: Fargo, ND
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occassional Travel is required)
Pay Rate: $22 – $26 per hour (based on experience)
Kelly is seeking a responsible and safety-focused Field Installation Technician to join our client’s production team in Fargo, ND. If you excel in hands-on roles, take pride in quality work, and enjoy working outdoors, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Position Summary:
The Field Installation Technician is responsible for the safe delivery, placement, and installation of granite products at various customer locations. This role ensures all installations are accurate, professional, and completed without damage, while maintaining positive relationships with customers, site personnel, and team members. The Field Installation Technician works independently and collaboratively to complete installations efficiently and according to company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize work orders and determine required materials for scheduled installations
- Safely load, transport, and deliver granite products to designated customer locations
- Install granite products independently and as part of a team
- Verify all installations meet company specifications and quality standards
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and site personnel
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Inspect work to ensure customer satisfaction and quality workmanship
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition
- Complete all required installation documentation and work records
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
- Assist with production, delivery, and shop operations as needed
- Support team members during peak workload periods
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of monument production processes and quality standards
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and installation specifications
- Basic decision-making and troubleshooting abilities
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to obtain a DOT Health Card
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely
- Stamina for physically demanding work over extended periods
