Assembly Operator I

Position Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st shift, 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Monday- Friday

 

Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Assembly Operator I to support daily production operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare machines, tools, and equipment for daily production.

  • Assemble products according to blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and written procedures.

  • Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections.

  • Use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and other gauging tools.

  • Complete quality inspection records and other required documentation accurately.

  • Identify product defects and promptly notify the appropriate personnel.

  • Communicate equipment, setup, quality, or production issues to the technician, setup team, and supervisor.

  • Make approved adjustments when necessary to maintain product quality.

  • Review inspection data to verify products meet established standards.

  • Perform repetitive handwork while rotating between tasks throughout the day.

  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Experience working with mechanical systems is helpful.

  • Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and written instructions.

  • Basic computer navigation and data-entry skills.

  • Ability to read and write English.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

  • High-energy, self-motivated, dependable, and willing to learn and advance.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Safely and dependably lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

  • Push and pull up to 180 pounds with the assistance of a hand dolly.

  • Stand, sit, walk, and balance frequently throughout the shift.

  • Work 8–10 hours as required.

  • Perform repetitive hand movements.

  • Work in an uncontrolled climate, including areas with excessive heat.
