Packer/Floater – $20/hr | Mon–Fri Day Shift | Weekends Off | Durham, CT

Kelly is hiring Packers for a manufacturing partner in Durham, CT, an easy commute from Middletown, Wallingford, Meriden, Middlefield, and Guilford. If you want steady weekday hours, weekends off, and hands-on work with a team that takes pride in quality, apply today.

Pay and schedule

  • $20.00/hour [+ overtime after 40 hours]

  • Weekly pay [with direct deposit or pay card]

  • Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Every evening and weekend is yours [includes 30-minute unpaid lunch]

  • Temp-to-hire opportunity for strong performers

What you’ll do
Every product passes through your hands before it ships to the customer. A typical day includes:

  • Pulling finished products off an overhead conveyor

  • Building cardboard cartons, packing products, and stacking them on pallets

  • Adding inserts such as scoops, cradles, and trays to products

  • Operating packing equipment, including taping machines, glue machines, riveting tools, pallet lifts, and automatic carton builders (training provided)

  • Inspecting products and packing materials for defects and alerting your lead to any problems

  • Keeping your area clean, organized, and safe as part of the site’s 7-S workplace program

  • Covering other positions on the line once cross-trained

What you need

  • Reliable attendance and a positive, team-first attitude

  • Ability to follow directions and catch details

  • Comfortable working at a steady pace in a production environment

  • Comfortable working with people of all backgrounds and abilities

  • REQUIRED: manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, packing, or machine operation experience

  • Bonus: forklift experience

Physical requirements

  • Standing for the full shift

  • Frequently lifting and carrying materials averaging 25 lb

  • Handling small parts and packing materials by hand
