Location: Sumner, WA
Pay: $26.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week

Position Summary
We are looking for a Material Handler / Wire Cutter to join a busy warehouse and distribution operation in Sumner. This position is responsible for accurately pulling, handling, cutting, staging, and preparing wire and cable for customer orders.
The ideal candidate will have warehouse or distribution experience and be comfortable operating material-handling equipment. Wire-cutting experience is preferred, but candidates with strong warehouse experience who are willing to learn may also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Pull and retrieve wire and cable according to customer orders
- Operate wire-reeling, coiling, and cutting equipment
- Place wire reels onto machine payout spindles and thread wire through feed rolls
- Adjust machine settings for cutting length, wire thickness, pressure, heat, and stripping length
- Measure and cut wire accurately according to specifications
- Inspect wire for quality and remove defective material
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment
- Move, stack, store, and stage inventory throughout the warehouse
- Prepare completed wire cuts for shipment
- Verify outbound orders for accuracy and damage
- Perform daily equipment and machine safety checks
- Follow OSHA, safety, and company procedures
- Use RF scanning equipment as needed
- Maintain productivity and accuracy standards
- Report damaged equipment, machinery, or materials to a supervisor
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ year of wire-cutting experience preferred
- Previous warehouse, material handling, or distribution center experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience using RF scanners preferred
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to safely handle warehouse equipment and materials
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers
- Willingness to complete required OSHA and equipment training
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a full-time schedule
