IT Technician / Desktop Support I
Bridgeport, West Virginia
Onsite: Mon – Fri | 8am – 5pm 
Pay starts $24/hr W2 + DOE

Desktop / Infrastructure Support Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with local users to troubleshoot general computer issues, connectivity, software and hardware problems.

  • Act as a liaison between local users and corporate help desk, submits help desk tickets, follows up on resolution.

  • Install and fix corporate patches, new software, hardware.

  • Troubleshoots desktop issues, assist with server/infrastructure issues as needed.

  • Support infrastructure projects (new hardware installs, and larger corporate supported projects) as needed.

  • Network cabling skills are a must, including work under shop workbenches, climb ladders to pull cable, and drive a man-lift/scissor-lift. 

Requirements:

  • Must have a completed High School Diploma or GED.

  • Previous Desktop Support, IT Support, Help Desk, or related experience, with the ability to troubleshoot general computer, software, hardware, and connectivity issues.

  • Basic networking and network cabling knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and support hardware, software, connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues.

  • Experience installing hardware/software and corporate patches, submitting and following up on help desk tickets, and assisting with infrastructure projects as needed.

  • Must be able to lift approximately 25-30+ lbs. without assistance and perform hands-on physical tasks associated with IT equipment and infrastructure support.
