Materials Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Materials Coordinator to support our Warehouse and Investment Recovery operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong warehouse, material handling, and inventory management experience—ideally within an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment—who is committed to safe work practices and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day warehouse transactions and administrative tasks using computer systems.

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided for backhoe operation).

  • Load, unload, receive, store, and deliver materials throughout the site, maintaining accurate inventory control.

  • Ensure all warehouse and storage areas are organized and meet safety standards.

  • Manage and compact scrap metal containers across the plant and support investment recovery activities and meetings.

  • Handle and track equipment and materials, including pumps, valves, gaskets, and piping components.

  • Adhere to strict safety requirements, wear required PPE, and report unsafe conditions promptly.

  • Support continuous improvement by participating in operational excellence initiatives and adapting to new processes or systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in warehouse/materials coordination or similar roles, ideally in an industrial setting.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to quickly learn SAP and mobile warehouse applications.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to work with a diverse team.

  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and maintain reliability and a strong work ethic.

  • Clear commitment to safe work practices and compliance with environmental standards.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and meet the position’s posture, mobility, and dexterity demands.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

  • Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull materials (up to 50 lbs.).

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach as part of daily operations.

  • Work in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments; tolerant of varying weather and potential exposure to fumes/odors (all appropriate PPE provided).

  • Operate forklifts and other equipment while navigating congested and uneven areas.

  • Possess adequate vision, coordination, and hearing for safety-sensitive work.
