Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Specialist
Location: Addison, IL
Pay Rate: Starting at $22.50/hr+ (Depending on Experience)
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Training: 1st Shift for approximately the first 2 weeks
Overtime: Available and required based on business needs
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our manufacturing and shop floor operations in Addison, IL. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining daily warehouse and supply chain flow by managing incoming materials, staging shipments, and verifying documentation in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, organize, and distribute incoming materials and freight across the facility.
- Prepare, package, and stage outgoing shipments, verifying order quantities and shipping documentation.
- Safely load and unload trucks and freight containers using appropriate material-handling equipment.
- Maintain clean, organized storage areas and uphold accurate inventory and shipping/receiving logs.
- Follow established standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and material-handling protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
- Communication: Must speak and write in English to read shipping manifests, follow work instructions, and communicate safety and production details.
- Physical Capabilities:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Licensing & Travel: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and residence within a reasonable commuting distance of Addison, IL.
- Work Ethic: Strong attendance record, safety-conscious attitude, and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
