Part-Time Candy Merchandiser

Part-Time | $21/hour | Bridgeport, CT

About the Role

We’re looking for a dependable, self-motivated merchandiser to keep candy displays stocked, fresh and looking great inside a large retail store in Bridgeport. You’ll work independently on a flexible part-time schedule, partnering with store associates and backed by a district manager and account manager. No experience is needed. Full training is provided, and you’ll have support by phone, email and Customer Service whenever you need it.

Schedule

  • Part-time only: up to 8 hours per week

  • Two visits per week, about 4–5 hours each

  • Ideal schedule is Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday

What You’ll Do

  • Learn the company’s products and programs thoroughly

  • Keep the store fully stocked with all assigned candy products (about 300 SKUs across the wagon display, register displays and seasonal sets)

  • Merchandise the store’s wagon fixture early in the week and again before the weekend

  • Follow the merchandising planogram

  • Rotate stock by date, moving older product to the front, and remove anything expired

  • Keep the back room organized

  • Manage inventory, with higher levels during peak shopping seasons

  • Place weekly orders for the next week’s delivery, either electronically or by marking a paper tally sheet and sending a photo to the office

  • Shipments go directly to the store

  • Send invoices and credit forms weekly in the prepaid envelopes provided

  • Finish each visit’s work completely and efficiently before leaving

  • Contact your District Manager or Account Manager with any questions

What We’re Looking For

  • Good communication skills

  • A positive attitude

  • Works well with store associates

  • Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision

  • Reliable transportation to the store

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and move bulk candy bags (12–15 lbs) and boxes of candy bars (20–25 lbs); product is moved on a pallet

  • Some squatting and bending to stock register displays

  • Standing and walking for the length of each shift
