This is an immediate, full-time contract role covering key operational gaps through the end of the year.

You will serve as a trusted, accessible point of contact for employees, handling employee relations, assisting with hourly recruitment and bilingual onboarding, supporting benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Frontline Employee Relations: Serve as an approachable, bilingual resource on the plant floor. Listen to employee concerns, investigate grievances, and assist supervisors with documentation, coaching, and disciplinary meetings.
- Bilingual Communication & Translation: Provide day-to-day English/Spanish translation and interpretation across HR, plant operations, and safety teams. Help Spanish-speaking team members navigate workplace policies, benefits, and safety instructions.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Support plant staffing by reviewing applications, conducting candidate screenings, scheduling interviews, and leading comprehensive bilingual new-hire orientations.
- Benefits & Leave Coordination: Answer employee questions regarding healthcare coverage, FMLA, ADA accommodations, and short-term disability; assist plant leadership with annual open enrollment activities.
- Compliance & Records Management: Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit-ready electronic and physical personnel files; process unemployment claims and ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Safety & Training Support: Collaborate with plant EHS and production teams to coordinate required safety training, maintain incident documentation, and support workers’ compensation return-to-work programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bilingual Capabilities (STRONGLY PREFERRED): Fluent bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written) are strongly preferred to support frontline plant communications and employee advocacy.
- HR Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing, food processing, packaging, or industrial warehouse environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree; PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Systems & Computer Literacy: Hands-on experience navigating enterprise HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG/UltiPro, ADP, Workday, Kronos); proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Labor Law Knowledge: Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment standards (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, Workers’ Compensation).
