Bring your accounting expertise to a world-famous beauty brand. We’re seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Senior Fixed Asset Accountant to join a global finance team and help oversee the full lifecycle of fixed assets—from capitalization and depreciation to reporting and reconciliation.
Reporting to the Fixed Asset Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance with accounting standards, and delivering insights that inform business decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization with a global reach.
What you’ll do
- Manage fixed asset activity, including capitalization, disposals, transfers, and write-offs, in line with company policies and applicable US GAAP, local GAAP, and IFRS requirements.
- Maintain the fixed asset ledger, oversee depreciation, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partner with business stakeholders and department heads to monitor capital work in progress and ensure projects are properly classified and documented.
- Support periodic physical asset audits across locations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Compile and share monthly fixed asset and capital spending KPIs.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for senior management and corporate finance.
- Analyze reconciliations and key controls, and investigate and explain variances.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including dedicated fixed asset accounting and capital project management experience in a large corporate or multinational environment.
- Advanced proficiency with major ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, and working with large datasets.
- Practical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, especially asset impairment, capitalization thresholds, and depreciation methods.
- Strong understanding of SOX controls.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain financial policies to non-finance partners.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the initiative to manage priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed global organization.
CPA or CMA certification or active progress toward certification is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
