• Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm and 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm 
  

• Pay: $25 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Improves surface condition of rolled products by sanding and/or grinding. Sets up and operates shears and leveling machines used in the production of tantalum and niobium products. Assists as needed in the rolling mills

1. Sands or grinds rolled materials to remove surface imperfections and meet product specifications including but not limited to Class 1 requirements

2. Sets up and operates leveling equipment

3. Sets up and operates shears to ensure final product meets the required dimensional specs

4. Assists as needed in the handling of material at the rolling mills under the direction of the Rolling Mill Operator

5. Requires mechanical aptitude

6. Follows good safety practices, complies with PPE requirements and follows environmental policies

7. Must be able to understand specifications and use measuring instruments with assistance

8. Requires ability to recognize problems and seek assistance to resolve

9. Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School of Vocational School Diploma and/or GED required.

2. 0-2 years of experience related production experience in a manufacturing environment.

3. Basic math skills are required to perform necessary job functions.

4. An understanding of basic measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers).

5. Good communication skills including the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

6. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with some machining experience is a plus.

7. May require the use of fork trucks, overhead cranes, hand carts and hand tools. Must be capable of obtaining a fork truck license and/or overhead crane license and must obtain a lockout/tagout certification.
