Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking Laboratory Technician   for contract position at Pharmaceutical client in Puerto Rico North area.
Most important skills:
Hands on experience in a laboratory (preferably cell culture based)
Organization and ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
Attention to detail and ability to carefully execute sensitive laboratory tasks
Job Summary
The position is for a laboratory technical aid for Upstream technical operations. Job Responsibilities: Include the essential duties and/or responsibilities of the position. Each essential function must support the objective of the job.
1. Perform testing following procedures, methods and specifications within the required time frame.
2. Provide support in process validation and optimization
3. Record and organize laboratory data
4. Work with laboratory scale bioreactors including cleaning, assembly and calibration of probes
5. Prepare process solutions such as cell culture media
6. Perform the general cleaning/maintenance of laboratory equipment such as bioreactors, incubators, refrigerators as required per procedures.
7. Maintain the materials, reagents, and media inventory required in the laboratory.
Requirements
The candidate should have a minimum BS degree in Natural sciences (Biology/biochemistry/industrial biotechnology).They should have knowledge in aseptic techniques for cell culture, understanding of cell culture in bioreactors is a plus, knowledge in safety regulations in a lab environment, understanding of standard operating procedures and good laboratory practices (GLP). They should have skills for teamwork, troubleshooting and scientific critical thinking.  Talents with and without experience in pharmaceutical company.
