Kelly Services is currently recruiting for a client in Maple Ridge, BC for the role

Are you super organized and have a love for animals? Want to work with the professionals responsible for animal health and welfare? Need to make a difference every day by supporting hard-working, caring veterinarians with programs, continuing education, and special events?

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • The program assistant will deliver regularly offered continuing educational seminars or conferences, supporting the planning, logistics, and contract administration; assisting in securing speakers and sponsors; attending all events, greeting speakers, registering attendees; committing to the goal of perfectly delivered events.

  • The program assistant is responsible for supporting program delivery such as coordinating aspects of the programs.

  • Limited travel is required to attend and perform duties at events.

  • Extended hours are required at these events and are paid according to Employment Standards.

  • All administrative tasks associated with the program position are the responsibility of the program assistant such as setting and keeping schedules and using Google docs, MS Suite of Programs, Eventbrite, Constant Contact, Slack, Monday.com and other programs.

  • Record keeping and document design is required.

  • Precise attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills, and ability to maintain privacy is required.

 

Job Requirement:

  • Require an upbeat person who loves to organize multiple events with competing timelines, and who is not distracted by challenges in any one area.

  • They should be experienced in organizing events, have extraordinary attention to detail, and be well-versed in a customer-focused work ethic.

  • The successful candidate will take responsibility for their job tasks and will ask for help when they find it necessary.

  • The person should be a self-starter, be able to organize their day, be able to deliver both long- and short-term deliverables, and ready to seek assistance when challenges arise. They should welcome collaboration but be able to learn from their mistakes to avoid repeating them. The self-starter will be able to stay focused, organized, and calm
