The Project Engineer position, reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, provides Project Management leadership, competency and direction toward the successful execution of capital projects.
This position leads project teams to deliver capital investment projects that align with business strategies, follow structured guidelines, company policies, and deliver the highest value asset allocation.
You will lead projects simultaneously within the facility. You will continue to develop your engineering capital project management competencies.
Position Responsibilities
- Requires a significant understanding of the business side of a Food Company and communicate with and lead resources.
- Travel is required to company locations, vendors, suppliers, engineering service providers, and any other sites required to execute projects. Travel may involve both domestic and international. Travel is approximately 10%.
- Your work will involve communication and coordination with multiple partners e.g., Operations, Finance, EHS and RQI .
- You may travel to company and co-manufacturer manufacturing plants, vendors, suppliers, engineering service providers, and any other sites required to complete projects.
- Your external interaction will include, however, not limited to, equipment vendors, construction contractors, engineering services contractors, local / state / federal government agencies, and co-manufacturing organizations.
- You will have a fundamental understanding of a food manufacturing environment, a technical knowledge of processes and equipment and basic Project Management skills that can be applied to developing and leading complex projects.
- You will implement assigned projects by using structured engineering work flow process.
- You will complete projects to ensure that all projects are completed to meet our needs.
- You will ensure that all project planning, deliverables, reporting, and spending forecasts are managed and that all projects are delivered within cost, schedule, and performance success criteria.
Position Qualifications
Two plus years of Project Management experience 5+ years total food manufacturing experience
Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems and equipment BS in an Engineering discipline..
