• Regular working hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday

What’s a typical day as a Custodian? You’ll be:
• Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors
• Replenishing lavatory supplies and emptying wastebaskets
• Unlocking and locking doors and windows to safeguard buildings and equipment
• Assisting in set-up for events and assemblies
• Reporting damages and needed repairs to the Custodial Supervisor
• Cleaning dormitories, honor houses, and guest quarters
• Completing floor stripping and polishing
• Vacuuming offices and carpet areas
• Spot mopping floors and removing spills
• Thoroughly dusting all cleared flat surfaces
• Completing full-scale cleaning of restrooms daily
• Cleaning windows, walls, and water fountains
• Replenishing paper and soap supplies in restrooms
• Maintaining well-stocked and organized custodial break/sink/storage rooms
• Performing other duties as assigned

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Have prior experience in custodial services (preferred)
• Are able to lift up to 30 lbs. and climb ladders up to 6 feet
• Can work with cleaning chemicals and clean chalkboards
• Have knowledge of janitorial supplies and equipment
• Can follow oral and written directions and adhere to safe working practices
• Have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relations in a diverse multicultural environment
