Food Safety Specialist – Hygienist – Eau Claire, WI

The Food Safety Specialist maintains facility GMPs and Hygienic conditions of the facility. GMPs serve as the base for maintaining consumer trust and preference. The position oversees tasks including but not limited to; Sanitation, Zoning, cGMPs, Monitoring, Pest Control, and Product protection plans. 

Details:

  • Direct Hire

  • 2-2-3 schedule, 12-hour shifts (one week 36 hours, next week 48) day and night shift available

  • $70,000+/year depending on experience, Annual Bonuses, Advancement Opportunities, and great Benefits, relocation assistance negotiable

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and report trends for Hygiene programs such as environmental monitoring and pest control.

  • Conduct GMP audits of the facility and address gaps.

  • Help to complete cross-functional food safety risk assessments.

  • Work closely with Pest Control provider

  • Develop and execute training for cGMPs

  • Maintain records for Hygiene programs

  • Support continuous improvement projects

  • Provide on the floor coaching to staff on cGMPs

  • Ensure compliance to corrective and preventive actions of Hygiene gaps.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience in food manufacturing quality role. 

  • 2+ years in a Food Safety Quality role

    • Experience in pre-requisite programs, hygiene, and sanitation 

    • Working knowledge of pathogens and environmental monitoring 

    • Experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. 

    • Working knowledge of cGMPs and FDA requirements
