JOB DESCRIPTION
This role entails leading Product Development efforts within the Automotive division of the Performance Coatings Group. You’ll drive new product initiatives, enhance existing formulas, and address technical challenges to ensure product quality and compliance. With opportunities for leadership and cross-functional collaboration, you’ll contribute to innovative product solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead new product development projects.
• Improve existing products through formulation enhancements.
• Resolve technical challenges in scaling-up and maintaining product quality.
• Evaluate product performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical support to various stakeholders.
• Manage multiple R&D projects concurrently.
• Analyze and present technical data effectively.
• Mentor new team members and foster collaboration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and lab procedures.
• Perform additional assigned duties.
• Conduct experiments, draw conclusions, and communicate results.
QUALIFICATIONS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• 7+ years of lab experience in coatings.
• 5+ years in product development.
• Valid Driver’s License (up to 10% travel).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced degree in relevant field.
• Expertise in specific coating systems.
• Knowledge of reactive chemistries.
• Experience in automotive refinish industry.
• Six Sigma certifications.
• Familiarity with DFSS.
Location: Initially Warrensville, but will eventually transition to Brecksville, Ohio.
