Exterior Parts DRE Engineer R150953This role will be responsible for developing Lamps, Wipers, Washers, Mirrors and Cowl used for automobiles. The role will require coordination with Suppliers, Manufacturing Plants, Design/Test Engineers and Purchasing to achieve company KPI’s including Quality, Cost, Schedule . In addition, will be responsible for generating, developing and implementing novel ideas that contribute to vehicle quality improvement, cost reduction or weight reduction.



Job functions include:

  • Design, Development and Validation of Headlamps, Rear lamps, Wipers, Washers, Mirrors and Cowl Cover; working deeply with supplier and internal component teams Quality, Cost, and Timing management to meet project KPI’s and Milestones.

  • Collaboration with Styling for shape development of A-surface parts, Safety and Regulatory performance of components and systems

  • Annual achievement of targets for Value Optimization, Quality and Customer Feedback

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree required; BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred

  • Minimum 1 year professional-level experience in related engineering discipline.

  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills required

  • Experience working in a multicultural environment desired

  • Experience with electronic component and component design a plus

  • Ability to travel and work overtime as required

  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or a Permanent Resident.
