Electrical Engineer II
**$51.33/hour**

Kelly Government Solutions is hiring for an electrical engineer II on a government contract with our customer in Lafayette, CO.  This is a contract to hire opportunity.

Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer II will engage in a broad range of electrical engineering research, development, and support as a member of a diverse, cross-functional team. They will expand their skillset as they gain experience developing next generation satellite electronics as part of our world class electrical engineering team!

Required Skill Sets:

  • BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering

  • Four (4) + years of hardware design experience; advanced academic degrees, internship, or research experience may count toward the required experience

  • Strong ability to communicate with other engineers, management, and external customers over both written and verbal communication channels

  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of electrical engineering

  • Familiarity with at least one schematic capture/layout tool and at least one spice-based simulation tool

  • Expertise in one or more technical areas: power electronics/power conversion, analog design, sensors design and interface, electromechanical systems, digital design, FPGA design, automated test development, EMI/EMC, PCB design/manufacture, or other relevant area

  • Experience designing for harsh or mission critical environments including one of aerospace, automotive, aviation, medical, or naval

  • Experience designing to industry standards (such as EMI/EMC)

Desired Skill Sets:

  • Design electronics (schematic capture & PCB design) for complex space grade products

  • Use a variety of tools to analyze and simulate electrical designs, selecting the best tool for the job as required

  • Some of the common tools we use are Altium Design, LTSpice, Siemens HyperLynx

  • Work in a fast-paced team environment on both R&D and production projects

  • Complete tasks with evolving requirements

  • Demonstrate strong ownership of the design process and an ability to work primarily independently

  • Debug hardware in a laboratory environment with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Test, Software, and FPGA design teams and other specialized teams to develop high quality, reliable hardware for our customers
