Job Description: Dari Medical Interpreter (Remote – Canada)

We are hiring Dari Medical Interpreters to support critical communication needs across Canada via audio (OPI) and video (VRI) platforms.
Role Overview
As an interpreter supporting healthcare providers, emergency services, and public service organizations, you may be assigned calls involving sensitive, emotional, or potentially distressing subject matter, such as medical emergencies, violence, criminal matters, or other challenging situations. Due to the nature of this role, some calls may require extended engagement or occur during periods of high call volume. Interpreters are expected to maintain professionalism, composure, accuracy, and confidentiality at all times, delivering services in accordance with company standards and ethical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time interpretation between English and Dari speakers
- Facilitate communication in healthcare, insurance, legal, and financial settings
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity on every call
- Deliver interpretation via audio and video platforms
- Participate in training, quality monitoring, and performance improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Dari (speaking & comprehension)
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada
- Quiet, distraction-free workspace
- Strong listening skills, emotional intelligence, and composure
- Commitment to three weeks of full-time paid training
VRI/Hybrid Readiness & Performance Expectations
- Dedicated personal device for business purposes. Desktop/ Laptop/ Tablets are acceptable.
- Functional camera with proper lighting for video calls.
- Strong, reliable high-speed Wi-Fi (speed test may be required)
- Professional noise cancellation headset (required or willingness to purchase)
- Demonstrate punctuality, consistency, and accountability.
