Job details

We are hiring a night shift Manufacturing Technician for a well-known food and beverage manufacturer in Wilsonville, OR. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients, monitoring flow lines, sanitizing equipment, and performing analytical testing. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance and food safety.

Job Title: Manufacturing (Syrup) Technician

Location: Wilsonville, OR

Schedule: Night Shift M-F 10pm- 6am, possible overtime on Saturdays

Pay Rate: $25.88- $30.53 per hour

Duration: Contract to Hire

 

Job Duties

  • Uphold all safety practices to prevent injury from unsafe work practices and conditions. Report all safety hazards to management.

  • Monitor plant sanitation and personal hygiene as outlined by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for food processing facilities

  • Follow all required work instructions, work aids and forms as they pertain to Quality, Environment, Safety, and Food Safety

  • Understand, monitor and act accordingly to support: ISO-GFSI compliance, FDAFSMA regulatory requirements, Food Safety & Quality programs as implemented by the company.

  • Authority and responsibility to stop production should the product be out of compliance.

  • Perform analysis of incoming, in process and finished materials using analytical standardized procedures

  • Become certified to operate a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck/Forklift) to move raw materials

  • Standardize and calibrate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot systems, equipment and processes

  • Participate in continuous improvement, lean practices, six sigma, 5S, food safety,environmental and plant safety programs

 

To be a fit for this role:

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree in science related field preferred

  • 1+ years prior production/ manufacturing experience OR 2+ years of lab technician experience

  • Mixing and Batching experience in the food of beverage industry highly preferred

  • Familiarity with lab safety, handling hazardous materials

  • Must be computer proficient, Microsoft Suite

 

Please note, this position is physical in nature and requires continuous standing and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
