ARC | RIOT is seeking a Production Operator I to join our Color Print Staff. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced print production environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work—right the first time and on deadline.
Position Overview
The Production Operator I supports color print production through prepress and production tasks, ensuring customer files are properly prepared, printed, finished, and delivered to ARC’s quality standards. This role works closely with production, customer service, and finishing teams to meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepress & File Preparation

Receive, review, process, and modify client files to meet print specifications

Prepare digital files by checking layouts, image quality, color accuracy, and specifications prior to print

Make recommendations regarding media, substrates, bindery, and finishing options
Production & Workflow
-
Prioritize incoming orders based on customer needs, deadlines, workload, and equipment capabilities

Estimate time and material requirements and communicate constraints or alternatives to Production Manager and/or clients

Operate and maintain printers, scanners, bindery, and finishing equipment
-
Maintain inventory of media, substrates, ink, toner, and finishing supplies
Quality Control & Finishing

Perform quality control checks on printed and finished materials to ensure ARC quality standards

Package completed projects for Will-Call, delivery, or shipping

Handle prints, media, and substrates carefully to prevent damage
General Support

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
-
Assist other departments as needed to meet production demands

Answer phones and take messages for customer service when required

Work overtime as needed to meet customer deadlines
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
2+ years of experience in color reprographics, signage, vinyl wrap, or print production environments
-
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including:
-
Acrobat
-
Photoshop
-
Illustrator
-
InDesign
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and quality
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely maneuver print materials and substrates
Excellent communication skills with customers and coworkers
Positive, can-do attitude with a desire for continuous improvement
Preferred Experience (Plus)

Cut software experience (Colex)

Knowledge of materials, equipment, and finishing processes used in color printing and signage
