Pay Rate:
$17.50–$23.50 per hour
Shifts Available:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift

Kelly Services is seeking experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operators—including Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Stand-Up, Sit Down, and Walkie Rider—for our valued clients in Elwood, Joliet, and Romeoville, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for efficient warehouse operations.

What You’ll Do
As a Forklift Operator, you will operate various types of material handling equipment in both ambient and freezer environments. Your responsibilities will include moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise, as well as assisting with order filling and verification tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely unload inbound shipments and transfer products to storage, including freezer areas
  

• Efficiently stack and store merchandise in both ambient and freezer locations
  

• Prepare products for shipment, verifying both type and quantity
  

• Load products into rail cars or trailers from staging and storage areas
  

• Operate Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Stand-Up, Sit Down, Walkie Rider forklifts or other powered equipment as needed
  

• Utilize RF scanning equipment for order processing
  

• Maintain accurate inventory records, support cycle counts, and ensure proper stock rotation
  

• Assist with physical inventories (including freezer)
  

• Support building, grounds, and equipment maintenance
  

• Uphold SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing requirements
  

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in freezer environments, frequently moving in and out of cold storage
  

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  

• Good verbal and written communication skills
  

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities a plus
