Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $70-80K/yr
 
Overview:
This client is a leading analytical laboratory company focused on providing analytical testing for OTC drug, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, dietary supplement, and botanical products in an FDA cGMP-compliant environment. In this role, you’ll be working with laboratory and quality assurance associates to independently run validated methods and support method development, validation, verification, stability, and release testing. This role will give you an opportunity to gain experience with state-of-the-art instrumentation and contribute to the quality and safety of FDA-regulated products, while helping deliver safe and effective health and consumer products to the public.
 
Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours, 100% onsite position
 
Responsibilities:
Independently run validated methods for a variety of analytical chemical analyses on laboratory instruments (LC, GC, IR, UV, dissolution, viscosity, and others)
Support method development, verification, validation, and transfer activities as assigned
Document experiments, analyses, and results accurately in lab notebooks and software systems in an FDA cGMP compliant manner and ensure all laboratory work complies with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, DEA, ISO and internal SOP)
Participate in investigations, deviations, OOS/OOT, and CAPA activities by reviewing the data, supporting root cause analysis
Prepare samples, run methods, and process data for OTC drug, prescription pharmaceutical, cosmetic, dietary supplement, and botanical products using the appropriate analytical test methods
Maintain laboratory instruments, including calibration, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting
Adhere to laboratory safety guidelines, OSHA standards and chemical waste disposal SOP in proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Laboratory Manager to support testing, compliance, and overall laboratory operations.
 
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related scientific discipline
4-6 years of work experience with HPLC and GC methods; experience with ICP-MS, LC-MS, GC-MS is a plus
1-2 years’ experience supporting method development, verification, validation, and transfer activities
1-2 years’ experience independently running validated methods for analytical chemical analyses (LC, GC, IR, UV, dissolution, viscosity, and others)
Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment, preferably cGMP. Familiarity with ICH guidelines, USP/EP/JP monographs is required
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
