Job Title: Scheduling Technologist
Position Summary:
The Scheduling Technologist manages capital and expense project schedules by collecting contractor updates, integrating daily progress into the master Primavera P6 schedule, and proactively informing construction managers of schedule risks, delays, or deviations. As the central point of schedule intelligence, this role is critical for maintaining project alignment and ensuring timely execution across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, integrate, and maintain comprehensive master project schedules across all phases: Front-End Loading, Detail Design, Procurement, Construction, and Start-up/Commissioning.
- Establish schedule baselines and support ongoing performance reporting to ensure projects remain within approved timelines and tolerances.
- Gather and coordinate schedule data inputs from various disciplines and functions for accurate forecasting, resource loading, and reporting.
- Identify schedule deviations, engage project/turnaround steering teams to determine root causes, and coordinate appropriate mitigation actions.
- Develop and assess conceptual schedules to evaluate alternative strategies or address potential scheduling risks.
- Maintain and update project schedules throughout the project lifecycle; incorporate modifications due to scope changes or delays.
- Integrate cost estimates with resource-loaded schedules to align the estimated scope of work with the project timeline.
- Utilize Primavera P6 for schedule development, maintenance, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience scheduling in a chemical or refining manufacturing facility.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (required).
- Ability to work a 4×10 schedule (four 10-hour days) with flexibility to support extended, weekend, or night shifts as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, capable of prioritizing and accomplishing tasks independently.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.
