Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $23.00–$24.00/hr | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 11:30AM–8:00PM | Full-Time

What’s a typical day as a Medical Claims Specialist? You’ll be:
- Processing and adjusting medical insurance claims according to program policies and procedures.
- Answering incoming phone calls from clients and medical providers regarding claim payments and inquiries.
- Making outgoing calls to medical providers and insurance companies to resolve questions and verify information.
- Reviewing explanation of benefits (EOBs) and healthcare documentation.
- Researching and resolving claim issues, including requesting additional documentation when necessary.
- Processing medical payments, assisting with client appeals, and maintaining accurate financial batch records.
- Auditing payment files, ensuring accuracy of payment records, and managing call logs.
- Supporting clients with high medical utilization and recommending process improvements.
- Promoting teamwork and ensuring service delivery targets are met, including contractual performance guarantees for payment processing and communication.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Are bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
- Have experience with medical claims, healthcare billing, or insurance processing (preferred).
- Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Can read and understand healthcare terminology and explanation of benefits documents.
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems; knowledge of medical coding or insurance processing is a plus.
- Hold an associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or have two to four years of related experience and/or training.
