Pay Rate: $80-90K based on experience
1st shift: 7am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

What’s a typical day as PLC Controls Tech? You’ll be:

  • Designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) for extrusion presses, handling systems, and CNCs

  • Developing and maintaining HMI/SCADA systems for real-time process monitoring and control

  • Calibrating, installing, and maintaining instrumentation such as temperature sensors, pressure transducers, flow meters, and load cells

  • Collaborating with maintenance and production teams to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime

  • Leading or supporting automation upgrades and continuous improvement projects

  • Ensuring all control systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements

  • Maintaining accurate documentation of control logic, wiring diagrams, and system configurations

  • Providing technical support during equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

  • Training maintenance and operations staff on control systems and instrumentation best practices

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls and Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (preferred)

  • Possess foundational knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text) and HMI systems through coursework, labs, or internships

  • Are familiar with industrial automation, sensors, and control systems

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset

  • Are proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
