Warehouse Operator I – Clayton, NC
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

- Week 1 Orientation: Powhattan, Clayton, NC
- Work Site: Shotwell Rd, Clayton, NC 27520
Job Summary:
Join our team as a Warehouse Operator, where you will be responsible for executing all warehouse processes, including material handling, inventory management, and preparation of goods for shipment. You will work within both the General Warehouse and Cold Storage environments and must demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities as part of a high-performance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements during daily tasks
- Receive, store, and accurately locate warehouse materials and components
- Manage material requisitions and replenish staging areas as needed
- Physically and systematically transfer semi-finished and finished goods
- Pull product samples on request
- Perform physical inventory activities such as cycle and annual counts
- Reorder plant supplies and look up inventory status
- Prepare and ship finished products
- Load and unload trailers
- Use inventory systems (Prism, AS400, SAP) to transfer materials and record adjustments
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts, warehouse, cold rooms, and freezers
- Maintain current, up-to-date training status
Top Skills and Experience:
- Standard warehouse operations and material handling practices
- Experience with Raymond 4250 series forklifts
- Adaptability and reliability
- SAP or other WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience is a plus
- Experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments preferred
- Bonus: SAPEWM experience
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and move equipment or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds
- Frequently operate, inspect, and handle manufacturing equipment
- Strap and unstrap pallets
- Remain stationary (sitting or standing) up to 50% of the shift
- Must have corrected vision to 20/25; color vision may be required
- Able to work in loud or extremely cold environments as required
- Handle and transport hazardous materials according to safety standards
- Must be able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks (no driver’s license required)
