Compensation: $55–$60 per hour (based on experience)

About the Opportunity:
Molecular Devices, a Danaher company, is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Manager also known as a International Trade Compliance Manager to ensure our import/export operations meet all regulatory requirements and support our global business growth. This critical role partners with Legal, Supply Chain, Quality, and R&D teams, and reports to the LSIG Director, Trade Compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all US and Canadian trade compliance operations, with support for Europe and other regions as business needs evolve.
- Serve as subject-matter expert on US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), OFAC sanctions, Commerce Control List (CCL), ECCN classification, licensing, and restricted party screening.
- Lead HTS classification and country of origin analyses for new product introductions and cross-border transactions.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve trade compliance programs, policies, training, and internal controls.
- Analyze and drive tariff mitigation, including free trade agreements, duty drawback programs, and cost reduction strategies.
- Liaise with government agencies and proactively monitor upcoming regulatory changes.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to streamline compliance within product development and logistics.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in International Business, Supply Chain, Law, or related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum 6 years’ recent, hands-on experience owning trade compliance within a regulated manufacturing, life sciences, or technology company.
- Documented success crafting and managing compliance programs for US import/export; Canadian and EU experience a strong plus.
- Expert-level knowledge of US regulations (EAR, OFAC, HTS, ECCN, customs valuation) – clearly describe this experience in your application.
- Demonstrated leadership in tariff mitigation, duty drawback, free trade agreement utilization, and internal compliance audits.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with C-TPAT, AEO or other supply chain security protocols.
- Direct interactions with US Customs & Border Protection, BIS, or OFAC.
- Advanced degree (JD, LLM, or MBA) or U.S. Customs Broker License.
