CMM Programmer:

Our client near Elmira, NY a is hiring several Manufacturing Technicians. These roles are first shift, starting at Kelly Engineering Project Service Consultants, 2-5 years experience preferred, entry level candidates may be considered, compensation, job Titles include CNC Technicians, Manufacturing Technicians, CNC Programmers, CMM Programmers and Manufacturing Engineers. One interview onsite, then move to hire.

Multiples roles opened- Manufacturing, all skill levels- MasterCAM, Espirt, CMM, Zeiss,  CNC programming, validation, documentation, regulatory- Skillsets.

Following is the job description for the CMM Programmer:
SUMMARY:
This opportunity is a Quality Assurance Technician role with a strong emphasis on CMM and/or automated vision inspection system operation, programming, and data-driven analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs inspection and testing of components using manual gaging and automated systems, including CMMs and vision systems e.g., Keyence , with strong emphasis on method development.

  • Develops, validates, and maintains CMM and automated inspection programs to support First Article, in-process, and final inspection activities.

  • Conducts First Article Inspection FAI/FIR , incoming, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality plans.

  • Performs complex measurement, analysis, and documentation to ensure products meet established specifications and quality requirements.

  • Supports New Product Introduction NPI and design transfer activities through inspection planning, automated inspection method development, and validation.

  • Supports and conducts Gage R R/Test Method Validation and other measurement system capability assessments across manual and automated inspection platforms.

  • Participates in root cause analysis and formulates corrective and preventive action recommendations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree preferred; or minimum of two years related experience and/or training Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with CMM and automated inspection system operation and programming required.

  • Experience with CMM operation and programming required e.g., Zeiss Calypso, PC-DMIS, or similar platforms.

  • Experience with automated inspection systems required e.g., Keyence vision systems, optical measurement systems.

  • Experience with interpreting technical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing required.

  • Understanding of statistical methods Cp/Cpk, Gage R R required.

  • Experience performing First Article Inspections FAI and supporting documentation packages.

  • Experience working in a regulated environment e.g., FDA, ISO 13485 preferred.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.

  • Supports and operates in a proactive, safe, climate-controlled environment.

  • Mix of sitting and standing with up to 7 hours per day standing.

  • Requires lifting and maneuvering fixtures, material and other equipment up to 50 pounds.
