Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Compliance Lead

Project (May–September) On-site

Overview:
Join our team as an EH&S Compliance Lead for a dynamic project (May–September). This position supports night shift operations at our site or hub, driving the implementation and ongoing enhancement of our safety management system. The role requires the application of your advanced conceptual and practical EH&S expertise across disciplines including health and safety, environmental compliance, air and water quality, and industrial hygiene. You will play a vital role in maintaining the site or hub’s license to operate while fostering a culture of safety and regulatory excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing improvement of global EH&S management systems at the plant, site, or hub level.

  • Drive EH&S performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance programs are executed effectively across assigned locations.

  • Coordinate, implement, and continually optimize EH&S and regulatory compliance programs to meet company standards and legal requirements.

  • Participate in and facilitate incident investigations and corrective action processes for EH&S issues; identify and act on opportunities for improvement.

  • Perform comprehensive reviews of all EH&S-related documents and submissions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

  • Support and perform duties related to Requirements Management Work Process (RWMP), ensuring seamless EH&S integration.

  • Initiate and support the Management of Change (MOC) process for EH&S programs and compliance issues as necessary.

  • Serve as the Agency Visit protocol owner, ensuring compliant and effective interaction with regulatory representatives.

  • Manage permitting activities, including preparing applications for new and modified equipment, overseeing permit changes, and renewing permits as needed.

  • Coach, mentor, and train EH&S technicians to build a high-performing safety team.

  • Conduct site or plant gap assessments to identify and address deficiencies in EH&S process implementation.

  • Develop, review, monitor, and deliver EH&S training programs tailored to operational and compliance needs.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in EH&S, manufacturing, or a related industry.

  • Strong knowledge of EH&S regulations, compliance, and management systems.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills.
