Job details

Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Representative with 2–5 years of experience supporting customers within a sheet metal fabrication and contract manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with inside sales, manufacturing sales, or customer-facing experience selling fabricated metal products and production services.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with customers, supporting quoting activities, managing accounts, and coordinating with internal manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inside sales activities for custom sheet metal fabrication and contract manufacturing projects

  • Work directly with customers to understand project requirements, timelines, and production needs

  • Support quoting, pricing, and proposal development for fabricated products and manufacturing services

  • Coordinate with production, estimating, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution

  • Maintain strong customer relationships and provide ongoing account support

  • Follow up on leads, open quotes, and existing business opportunities

  • Assist with order management, project communication, and customer updates throughout production

  • Support business development efforts and help identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, inside sales, manufacturing sales, or contract manufacturing environments

  • Experience supporting sheet metal fabrication, metal manufacturing, or custom fabricated products preferred

  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to manage multiple customer projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Degree not required — equivalent industry experience highly valued
