Kelly Science is seeking an Associate Scientist III/Scientist for a growing company located in State College, PA.
 
Salary: $65,000-72,000/year 
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Employment Type: Full Time; Direct Hire
 
Job Duties Include: 

  • Conduct experiments to develop, optimize, validate, and manufacture new mammalian cell-based assays and products.

  • Manufacture mammalian reporter cells and assay kit components at scale.

  • Perform routine QA testing and execute inventory control policies to ensure product availability and integrity.

  • Manage and execute contract service studies for a variety of clients.

  • Assemble product kits and technical documents for customer shipments.

  • Maintain orderly and updated lab notebooks.

  • Participate in weekly lab meetings, presenting and interpreting data while engaging in problem-solving and strategy discussions.

  • Communicate proactively with team members regarding lab developments and data updates.

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, including personal and shared lab spaces.

  • Supervise Assistant Scientists and Lab Technicians as directed.

 
Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a scientific related field. PhD preferred.

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience with mammalian cell culturing in an aseptic environment.

  • Comfortable giving presentations at conferences or large groups.
