Fabrication Supervisor (Sheet Metal) – 2nd Shift
Location: Farmington, CT
Pay: $86,000 – 120,000+ based on experience 
Hours: 3:30pm – 12:00am (Monday–Friday + OT as needed)

KELLY is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to lead shop floor operations and oversee a high-performing fabrication team. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery in alignment with company standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing experience and a passion for continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise shop floor personnel in compliance with company policies and safety standards

  • Ensure adherence to quality requirements and support corrective actions when needed

  • Manage daily production schedules and allocate resources to meet OTD, quality, and productivity goals

  • Oversee employee training, development, scheduling, and performance management

  • Support new product introductions and process improvements

  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency and cost reduction

  • Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives including SYNCHRO, 5S, and continuous improvement efforts

  • Assist with workforce planning, including hiring and equipment needs forecasting

  • Foster a positive, safety-focused, and collaborative work environment

  • Ensure accurate communication and documentation of production activities

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required

  • Strong background in sheet metal fabrication or similar production environment preferred

  • Familiarity with TRUMPF equipment, SYNCHRO systems, and SAP (or similar ERP systems) is a plus

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices

  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
