Direct Hire 2nd shift CNC Machinist 
Location: Farmington, CT
Hours: 3:30pm – 12:00am (Monday–Friday + OT as needed)
MUST be able to train on 1st shift 7am to 3:30 pm 
Pay: $28 – 40 per hour based on experience (15 % shift differential once on 2nd)

Position Overview

KELLY is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for setting up and machining large components that support assembly operations, ensuring high-quality output while meeting production timelines and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and machine large parts while maximizing machine utilization and productivity
  

• Perform quality inspections on weldments and machined components
  

• Read and interpret complex CNC programs, including G & M codes
  

• Make offset adjustments, wear corrections, and zero-point shifts as needed
  

• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers to verify part accuracy
  

• Read and interpret advanced blueprints and technical drawings
  

• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with company standards
  

• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
  

• Accurately document machining processes and production data
  

• Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality goals

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of CNC machining experience (large parts preferred)
  

• Strong knowledge of CNC setup and operation
  

• Ability to read and understand G & M code
  

• Experience making offsets and machine adjustments independently
  

• Proficient with precision measuring instruments
  

• Strong blueprint reading skills, including complex drawings
  

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  

• Technical education or machining certification is a plus
  

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
