Position Title: Manufacturing Technician I
Location: Newark, CA
M-F 7AM – 330PM
Pay rate: $26/HR
Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Manufacturing Technician to join our Probes Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in ISO and/or GMP environments and can adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting. The role involves supporting manufacturing scientists with daily operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute production tasks with minimal supervision: staging, inventory filing, assisting with filling and receiving probe inventory, and organizing finished goods.
- Support Manufacturing Associate Scientists to ensure timely probe formulation.
- Receive, organize, and verify probe and consumable inventories.
- Prepare and execute material transfers using established procedures.
- Monitor equipment, logs, and calibration due dates.
- Maintain general laboratory cleanliness and complete routine maintenance checklists.
- Support special projects, custom orders, or other high-priority manufacturing areas as needed.
- Follow all safety and quality standards during manufacturing.
Occasional Duties:
- Participate in inventory counts and material discards.
- Assist in equipment maintenance.
- Cross-train in related functional areas to serve as a backup.
Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and a collaborative team player.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Strong multitasking and workload prioritization abilities.
- Experience in an ISO 13485 environment is a plus.
- Prior manufacturing experience in biotech or pharmaceutical settings strongly preferred.
- B.S. in Biological Sciences or A.A. Degree required.
