Location: Rochester, MN (Onsite)
Compensation: $105,000–$125,000 + up to 15% bonus
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire | Permanent

We’re working with a growing, innovation-focused life sciences organization supporting cutting-edge work in advanced therapeutics. With a collaborative, highly technical team and a strong growth trajectory, this is an opportunity to step into a high-impact HR leadership role where your contributions will be immediately visible.
This position offers the chance to own the entire HR function within a small, dynamic environment. You’ll partner closely with leadership while also having the autonomy to build structure, improve processes, and support a team of highly skilled professionals.
The Role
This is a standalone HR role responsible for both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR operations. You’ll act as a trusted partner to leadership, helping guide hiring, performance management, and organizational development while ensuring compliance and consistency across the business.
A PEO is in place to support payroll, benefits, and certain administrative functions, allowing you to focus on higher-value HR work and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruiting efforts in partnership with hiring managers
- Develop workforce planning strategies to support growth
- Build and refine onboarding and offboarding processes
- Establish and improve HR policies, procedures, and employee programs
- Support and coach managers on performance management, feedback, and employee development
- Drive performance review processes and goal-setting initiatives
- Handle employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
- Maintain HR records and partner with a PEO on benefits, payroll, and compliance
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience
- Experience operating as a solo or lead HR professional in a small to mid-sized organization
- Proven ability to build or enhance HR infrastructure (policies, frameworks, processes)
- Strong employee relations background and sound judgment
- Ability to build credibility with technical or highly specialized teams
- Experience working with a PEO environment is a plus
