Job Title:  Mechanic I – Physical Flows
Function: Physical Flows
Division:  Consumer Products Division
Location: Walton, KY
Shift: Fri – Sun 6PM – 6AM (Contract 3-6 months)

What You Will Do:
As a Mechanic I you will have the responsibility to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all facility infrastructure and equipment appropriate to the business operations of the site.  This employee will obtain forklift and elevated platform certification and must be available to work scheduled hours to meet customer demands.

  • Equipment Maintenance and troubleshooting, perform routine and preventative maintenance to all internal equipment related to the facility operations of the site; assist with scheduling and up-keep of vendors; organize and tracks inventory of parts and equipment; assists with continuous improvement projects. 

  • Optimization and Repair<span style="">; Diagnose equipment failures, determine root causes, and replace worn parts to maximize uptime.

  • System Operation; Operate and monitor systems such as HVAC, conveyor systems, process equipment and building management.

  • Contractors Management<span style="">; on-site contractors including safety training, daily permits, and daily prevention plans. 

  • Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Required Qualifications:

  • Two years’ experience in an industrial maintenance role or at least a 2-year technical degree

  • Electrical and mechanical knowledge required.

  • Conveyor systems, PLCs, motor controls, pneumatic devices, and hydraulic equipment preferred

  • CMMS for work order completion

  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights or weekends, and provide on-call support for 24/7 environment.

The physical demands listed below are those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

  • Must be able to climb and work from ladders.

  • Must be able to work from heights.

  • Must pass hearing and vision requirements.

  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hours at a time.
