Job Title: Production Associate
Pay Rate: $24.25 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm – 9:30pm (potential overtime as needed)
Requirements: Steel toe shoes required
Position Summary:
The Production Associate supports the Machine Operator and Department Lead in daily filling line operations within a team environment. Responsibilities include maintaining production standards, ensuring adherence to GMP and safety protocols, and assisting with both kitchen and packing area functions. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as is the ability to follow all written and verbal instructions from supervision and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
General Functions:
- Comply with all personal protective equipment, hair covering, and hearing protection policies
- Read and understand English instructions and safety information
- Uphold quality, safety, GMP, housekeeping, and training standards
Kitchen Area Functions:
- Inspect cup seals/foils for integrity; promptly report any issues
- Notify Filler Lead, QC, and Management of non-conforming products, materials, or equipment
- Arrive at workstation on time for shift start, after breaks, and after lunch
- Assist with the movement of production materials, carts, baskets, and equipment as needed
- Report any safety or GMP violations immediately
- Identify and report any damaged or non-compliant baskets, carts, foils, cups, or equipment
- Ensure conveyors are thoroughly washed down to prevent contamination
- Notify Filler Operator or Lead of machine irregularities
- Support Filling Machine Operator with equipment checks, cleaning, and lubrication tasks
Packing Area Functions:
- Accurately collect and insert filled product cups into baskets, following proper rotation and placement patterns
- Monitor for proper cup seals and legible date coding, reporting discrepancies
- Perform all kitchen-area reporting and support duties in packing as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain compliance with safety and GMP standards
Physical Demands:
- Work in environments ranging from 45°F to 95°F
- Stand for the entire shift
- Frequently push, pull, and grip equipment with both hands
- Lift up to 32 lbs. and occasionally lift overhead safely
- Tolerate and safely work in noisy environments (hearing protection required)
- Regular attendance and willingness to work overtime/weekends as production requires
Equipment Used:
Food processing equipment, hand trucks, carts, and baskets.
No supervisory responsibilities are included with this position.
