Job details
Position: Industrial Production Operator
Location: Gurley, AL 35748
Pay & Shift Details
- Pay Rate: $18 per hour
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, 6:00am – 6:00pm
- Schedule: 3-2-3 rotating (3 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, etc.)
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Observe all safety rules and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Steel-toed boots required
- No jewelry allowed while on the job
- Report all safety incidents, unsafe acts, and conditions
- Weigh and grade powder materials
- Load and unload mills
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Respirator may be required in certain work areas
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Strong record-keeping abilities
- Effective interpersonal skills; must work well as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb a 4-foot ladder
- Capable of using power tools, chains/hoists, tuggers, and other equipment as needed
- Able to use both hands simultaneously while pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lifting, stooping, and walking
- Able to stand and work for long periods
- Good eye-hand coordination and well-coordinated physical movements
- Able to lift up to 33 pounds
Working Conditions / Hazards
- Exposure to moderate dust
- Respirator may be required depending on work area
Education Guidelines
- High school diploma or GED required to transition to customers payroll
- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Experience Guidelines
- Prefer at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Resume submittal required
