Scientist (Contract) – Cell Culture & Analytical Development-
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to support Research & Development efforts in analytical development, cell characterization, and genetic analysis. This role will focus on characterizing new cell lines and optimizing media formulations using a combination of analytical methods, 2D/3D cell culture systems, and molecular biology techniques.
This position reports directly to the Bioprocess Director and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform analytical assays including cell counting, plate-based assays, PCR/RT-PCR, Western blotting, and metabolite analysis
- Execute and maintain mammalian cell culture workflows, including cell expansion, cryopreservation, and 3D culture systems
- Prepare media and buffers to support 3D and bioreactor-based cultures
- Develop and optimize analytical methods for cell and genetic characterization
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to support R&D objectives
- Collaborate cross-functionally to advance research programs and meet project timelines
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- 2–4+ years of hands-on wet lab experience (industry experience preferred)
- Strong experience with mammalian cell culture and analytical techniques (cell counters, microscopy, metabolite analysis)
- Experience with 3D culture systems or organoids is a plus
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Prism, JMP, Minitab, Excel)
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA/protein isolation, PCR, RT-qPCR, Western blot, ELISA is a plus
