Production Supervisor- Client in Rittman, Ohio is in need of a Contract, Possible Contract to Hire, Production Supervisor- Hours for this role are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Hourly Rate: $38.00 per hour.
Love to lead? The Plant will be yours Saturday and Sunday! This person will work in a lead capacity supervising manufacturing shifts, leading safety and quality meetings, managing budgets and maintenance, and ensuring production goals and compliance are met. Hire will need strong leadership, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills—especially in safety, equipment maintenance, and process improvement. Experience in manufacturing supervision, safety practices, and familiarity with lean/Six Sigma, SAP, or food industry standards is preferred. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about developing strong, cohesive teams while delivering excellent production results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Acting as a leader in the support of the Safety Journey and the Company’s Goal of Achieving an Injury-Free Workplace. Driving continuous improvement in workplace safety by promptly addressing the root causes or near misses, conducting effective safety meetings, promptly addressing safety concerns raised by employees.
Responsible for EHS, MOC, GMP, and Q.C. Compliance in department/shift. Conduct safety and quality meetings as needed.
Troubleshoot machine issues with hourly operators. Utilization of root cause analysis when troubleshooting equipment to ensure repairs are done correctly.
Ownership for their department/shift, i.e. manpower utilization, and maintenance budget.
Own maintenance for department/shift, including but not limited to creating work orders, validating the work is done correctly, escalate issues to management when needed, and closing work orders.
Track machine downtime related to mechanical, electrical.
Ensure machines are properly utilized to meet and exceed production goals.
QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED. 5 years of supervisor experience in manufacturing and/or food related industries. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others. Demonstrated ability to lead by example, act with integrity, and hold team members accountable. Problem-solving mindset and willingness to support ongoing learning and improvement. Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED:
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in engineering, business, or related field. Six Sigma Certification. Lean Certification. SAP Experience.
