Job Title: Sanitation Technician (Nights)
Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking a Sanitation Technician to work at a premier food manufacturing company in Grand Forks. If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering quality products, then this is the job for you!
Job Details:
- Pay: $22.58 per hour plus $1.00 for night differential
- Hours: 40-60 hours per week depending on production need; overtime may be required
- Schedule: 7:00pm – 7:00am, 2-3-2 schedule (every other weekend off)
Summary:
This role is responsible for keeping food surfaces, processing equipment, and assigned work areas in sanitary condition, ensuring compliance with food quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow safe work practices and procedures to prevent injuries
- Record all chemical usage on the Chemical Log
- Safely transport chemicals with a hand cart
- Complete regular cleaning duties as assigned
- Test and document foaming and sanitizing solution in central foaming tank
- Assist with training to ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed
- Obtain and maintain OSHA forklift truck certificates
- Attend and participate in relevant training activities
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members and other support groups in a participative management style
Relevant Experience & Skills:
- Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods
- Understanding and application of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to work in confined spaces and distinguish colors
- Comfortable working in extreme environments (noise, hot/cold temperatures, wet and slippery floors)
- Experience handling hazardous chemicals while wearing appropriate PPE (full wetsuit, boots, chemical gloves, face shield or goggles depending on location)
- Manual dexterity in both hands (turning valves, using high-pressure hoses, carrying buckets)
- Capable of using up to 50 pounds of push/pull force for barrels up to 450 lbs. with rolling device
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to maneuver in close quarters, heights, and climb stairs/ladders
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
