Quality Assurance Technician wanted for manufacturing company.
Temp- to- Hire
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour DOE
Torrance, CA.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to inspect precision components and subassemblies to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and tolerances. This role involves working with engineering drawings, measurement tools, and inspection processes in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards
Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
Document inspection results accurately (paper and digital)
Identify defects and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs)
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA)
Communicate quality issues with production teams and suppliers
Perform audits to ensure quality standards are maintained
Assist with calibration of inspection equipment
Support development and updates of inspection procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:
1–2 years of mechanical inspection experience (manufacturing preferred)
Basic understanding of blueprints and part specifications
Familiarity with GD&T and inspection standards
Experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
Knowledge of inspection processes (incoming, in-process, final)
Ability to identify part numbers and critical characteristics
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)

Preferred:
Experience with vision systems or optical comparators
Knowledge of AQL / ANSI inspection standards
Familiarity with quality tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)

Work Environment:
Manufacturing / production setting
Fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and quality
