Kelly has an exciting opportunity available for a Warehouse Technician in the Florence, KY area!
Responsibilities
- Safely operate stand-up forklift around tight spaces and throughout the lab being careful of pedestrian traffic, racks and equipment
- Inspect all equipment prior to use
- Accurately maintain all raw material and finished product inventory – frequently reviewing rack locations for proper labeling, storage of inventory and accurate count/amount of materials being stored
- Store and transport materials according to internal chemical inventory management system
- Pull materials according to work orders
- Return materials to their correct locations – accurately weighing and adjusting inventory based on what has been returned
- Support shipping and packaging needs
- Re-bag or consolidate inventory to manage space
- Be our local contact responsible for requesting and sending materials to and from our satellite warehouse facility
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment that complies with all safety/health related policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience with equipment used in a warehouse including hands on experience with forklift (stand-up forklift preferred), scales, lab balances, hand trucks, lift trucks, step ladders and packaging equipment
- Math skills sufficient to calculate percentages, ratios, unit conversions and averages
- Skills with computer data entry and applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Understand safety data sheets (SDS)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to teamwork
- Stand-up forklift driving experience and/or certification
- This job requires working 8-hour shifts Mon-Fri, working in confined spaces, regular climbing of stairs and forklift, regularly crouching and frequent lifting of 55 lb bags (floor to chest), frequent walking, standing and reaching in front of body
Schedule: M-F 7:00am – 3:30pm
