Maintenance Technician II – 3rd Shift
Pay Range: $22–$30/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 11PM-7AM
(Must be able to train on 1st shift for 30-60 days which is Mon-Fri 7AM-3PM)
Location: Rochester, NY
Duration: This is a permanent position with full benefits

Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining production equipment and facility systems to support operational efficiency and business needs. This role involves troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and collaboration with production teams to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all standard operating procedures related to maintenance and safety
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production and facility equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential equipment failures
- Rebuild and maintain components such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, glue systems, forklifts, printing presses, and die-cutting machines
- Install and retrofit machinery according to manufacturer specifications and NEC standards
- Assist with installation and setup of production equipment
- Support facility upkeep, including roofing, painting, and workspace construction
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and equipment optimization projects
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with incoming shifts regarding job status and ongoing issues
- Adhere to all safety rules and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production equipment maintenance
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, welding, and machining
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across all organizational levels
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to good attendance
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
