Packaging Engineer
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Packaging Engineer position for one of our top clients in Raynham, MA.
- Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group KellyOCG, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Packaging Engineer for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Raynham, MA. This role is a full-time, fully benefited position.

As a Packaging Engineer placed with KellyOCG you will be responsible for the following:
The Packaging Development Engineer will be responsible for developing strategies and executing qualifications for a wide range of sterile and non-sterile products in support of new product development teams as well as legacy products for Client as well as Digital Products.
Under the supervision of Package Development Leadership and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Client procedures and guidelines, the Contract Package Development Engineer:
- Supports the Package Development needs for the Joint Reconstruction / Power Tools & Robotics businesses
- Evaluates products for package requirements.
- Evaluates existing package systems for simplification opportunities.
- Engages with package component suppliers in the development, qualification and sourcing of new package components.
- Prepares and coordinates the review and approval of all necessary package specifications and supporting documentation for new package designs, package design changes and site transfers.
- Determines testing requirements, develops test protocols and coordinates testing to ensure product and package integrity.
- Executes packaging projects in compliance with government and corporate procedures and guidelines as well as industry standards.
- Develops and maintains project plans and stakeholder updates as required.
- Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one’s job, and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
- Promotes and nurtures the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and compliance and actively supports our compliance program-related initiatives and activities
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Package Engineering or other Technical Degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, etc.)
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience developing and implementing strategic solutions in response to new regulations is a plus
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Attention to detail with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage stakeholders across functional areas
- Working knowledge of PC with Microsoft Office applications is necessary
