Location; Southeastern Wisconsin
Are you a visionary leader ready to elevate electrical engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?
We are looking for an accomplished Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee automation, controls, and capital projects across two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Southeastern Wisconsin. In this dynamic leadership role, you will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager and be responsible for managing electrical engineering operations at both sites.
About the Opportunity
As the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will lead and shape the automation and controls landscape across our North American manufacturing operations. This strategic position is responsible for overseeing the implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation control systems and electrical distribution for all capital projects—including greenfield development and continuous improvement initiatives.
You’ll supervise and develop a talented team of electrical engineers, foster relationships with contractors and integrators, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure efficient project execution and operational excellence throughout our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and assign resources within the electrical engineering department for all capital projects.
- Coach and mentor engineering talent; conduct performance evaluations and foster continued professional growth.
- Develop and implement technology roadmaps for automation, controls, and electrical distribution systems.
- Lead the design, review, and approval of electrical distribution systems (from 480VAC to 24VDC).
- Program, implement, and optimize automation controls for plant and building operations.
- Review and approve detailed functional specifications and electrical schematics.
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and system integrators throughout project lifecycles.
- Drive continuous improvement projects related to automation.
- Identify and procure electrical hardware to support new and ongoing projects.
- Ensure safe, reliable electrical systems through adherence to company, safety, and quality standards.
- Travel domestically to support sites and engineering personnel.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical-related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- At least 5 years of experience programming PLCs and working with industrial electrical distribution—manufacturing experience highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Siemens hardware and software, UL Standards, and NEC Codes (NFPA 70, 70E, and 79) is preferred.
- Skilled with AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work near food allergens.
- Strong communicator with effective team-building, decision-making, and customer-focused skills.
- Adaptable, flexible, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
